About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant to join our team and help deliver an excellent in-store experience for our customers.
This role focuses on customer service, product presentation, and supporting the daily running of the shop. The successful candidate will help ensure that the store remains organised, welcoming, and visually appealing throughout the day.
Working as part of a small and collaborative team, the Shop Assistant will play an important role in maintaining the atmosphere of the store and assisting customers with their purchases.
Key Responsibilities
The Shop Assistant supports the daily operation of the store and helps create a positive shopping environment for our customers.
Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with product enquiries, and providing helpful recommendations. The role also involves processing transactions through the POS system, handling payments accurately, and ensuring that customers receive attentive and friendly service.
Maintaining the presentation of the shop floor is an important part of the role. This includes keeping displays tidy, restocking products, organising shelves, and ensuring the store remains visually appealing.
The Shop Assistant may also assist with receiving deliveries, organising stock, and helping prepare seasonal displays or promotional areas within the store.
Working with a wide range of artist-designed products, the role also includes learning about the stories behind the products and sharing that knowledge with customers.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with people and working in a creative retail environment.
The ideal candidate should be friendly, dependable, and comfortable communicating with customers. Previous retail or customer service experience would be helpful, although it is not essential.
A positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team are important qualities for this role. An interest in art, design, or creative products would also be highly valued.

Salary
Salary from April 2026: £12.71 per hour
Future pay progression may be available depending on experience and responsibilities.
