About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operation of the store and assist with team coordination and HR administration.
This role combines hands-on retail management with organisational responsibilities behind the scenes. The successful candidate will help ensure that the store runs smoothly, the team is well supported, and customers receive an excellent experience.
Working closely with the Store Manager and the management team, the Assistant Store Manager will play an important role in maintaining store standards, supporting staff development, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Store Manager supports the day-to-day management of the store and helps maintain a positive and organised working environment.
Responsibilities include supporting daily store operations, assisting with opening and closing procedures, and ensuring the shop floor remains well presented and fully stocked. The role also involves helping to coordinate staff schedules, assisting with team communication, and supporting the smooth running of retail operations during busy trading periods.
The position also includes assisting with certain HR-related tasks. This may involve supporting onboarding procedures for new staff members, maintaining basic employment records, assisting with training coordination, and helping ensure that company policies and workplace procedures are followed.
The Assistant Store Manager may also help monitor sales performance, support merchandising decisions, and assist with stock organisation and inventory control.
In addition, the role includes helping maintain a welcoming store atmosphere and ensuring that customers receive friendly and attentive service.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a creative retail environment and who is comfortable taking responsibility when supporting store operations.
The ideal candidate should have previous retail experience and demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills. Experience in team coordination, store supervision, or administrative support would be highly beneficial.
A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to remain calm during busy periods are essential. As the store often works with artists and creative products, an interest in art, design, or creative culture would also be welcomed.

Salary
Salary before April 2026: £13.75 per hour
Salary from April 2026: £14.20 per hour
Future salary progression may be available depending on experience and responsibilities.
